Cinema Nostalgia („Unrealistic“ and „American pie“ Inside)

On Saturday, the current one had the next trip to the cinema, where I happened to see the second “irresistible”. And initially this post was planned as a small review of this film. But it so coincided that the next day I already checked out “American cake: everything in the gathering” in a warm home environment, which recently began to open on DVD, so I wanted to state my thoughts about him. As a result, a posted post on mass cinema pierced by nostalgia. I hope for a productive conversation in the comments.

To begin with, nevertheless about „irresistible“. Surprisingly, they were not a tearful melodrama with Camo Robert Pattinson and not the northeastern fantasy, but the fact that people waited the least-a militant. Meaningless and merciless.

In the sequel to the old (in every sense) company, Jean-Claude Van Damm and, O Gods, Chuck Norris joined. Actually, their presence, as well as a more active participation (compared to the first part) Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis pull the film and give the development of the series. Chuck Norris, a cult figure for many, did not appear on large screens for 95 years, so you can go to the film at least for his sake. And evaluate the good irony with which the filmmakers came to the performance of the „Walker“.

Of course, in terms of directing, staging, plot and other important components, “irresistible 2” stars from heaven are not enough. Jokes are often flat, there were no particularly cool action-in-the-worlds, Love-Stori is absurd, and so on. Although it seems to be the latter to expect some revelation and really a mega-round moment, because Simon West is sitting on the director’s chair (he once shot a very worthy “air prison”) is a much more sophisticated filmmaker than Stallone. But no.

As a result, only those who remember the militants of the 80s and 90s enjoy the film, and the rest of respect for their older comrades (well, so as not to seem like ignoramuses) they hide that they did not receive pleasure. So it turns out in such a way that everyone likes uncontrollable;)

I’m afraid the third part Jackpot Charm Casino will already be a failure. Like, ponostalgic and enough. Although … if they invite Stephen Sigal, it may work. And then certainly you will need to stop. By the way, in the second part there is little Jeta Lee – it was straight up, yes.

Now about a slightly different … and not even “somewhat”, but about completely different.
The first part of the American Pie was released in the 99th year. I watched her when I studied the class in the 8th or 9th … and yes, I then faded to tears. Seriously. This is now the film distribution was flooded by “stupid American comedies”, actually, by and large, the result of the success of the American pie. And then it was very cool and fresh.

And now, in the 2012th, the creators of the film made almost impossible. They gathered absolutely all the main actors (and even a handful of second -plan actors) to make a total blow to the already matured audience. Old friends gather again and again get involved in adventures, although not as reckless as 13 years ago. “Everything is assembled”, of course, does not have as amused as the original, but such a goal did not stand at all. Yes, of course, this is a comedy. But already such a comedy … like „Clinic“. And funny, and there is something to think about.

In fact, who would have thought that there would be a place for the lyrics in the “American pie”. A lot of space for lyrics. You watch a film and inevitably begin to draw parallels with your own life road. You recall school comrades who have not seen for 10 years, think about how many of your peers are already married/married and even managed to get offspring, try to lay in your head that so much time has passed since the 99th ..

All this, of course, does not mean that you will sob when viewing. We are talking about the notorious nostalgia and awareness of the course of time. But it can be aware of it and under all the same jokes below the belt – boobs, pussy, tras.

Obviously, people love to remember the past, look back at themselves in the past, nostalgic. So the question arises why filmmakers use this so rarely? After all, this is better for everyone. Spectators with a smile on the lips are nostalgic, and films collect a good cashier. All in winning!

My thoughts about films were set out here, which not only use the weakness and suppleness of the human essence, so the creators persistently emphasize this. They directly say: “Hey people! Come to the cinema, remember the former;) „. That is, it is not just sequels, but something like a look into the past. You can remember some other projects with a similar approach? I do not recall.

But how many titles are there that you can reanimate in this way. Each of you, I think, can give anything as an example. For some reason, „strangers“ immediately come to my mind. Fuck us this „Prometheus“ of yours!? Give us Alienov with Sigurni Weaver and Lance Henriksen! Yes, so that with the very radar and squeak! Well, something like that.

But I will not bore you with very long reasoning. In the end, I will say that I recommend watching the mentioned films all those who remember what they are sent to and appreciate what was then to be.

And also, I still assume that it is just that I am so stubborn in the past time, and in fact, there is no sense in all this;)
